WIN $1,000 AT THE GREAT BAY 5K!
If the race winner (male/female) beats the existing "All Comers" New Hampshire state record times for a 5K (Male: 13:53 by Alene Reta at the Cigna 5K in 2009, and Female: 15:28 by Lynn Jennings at the Couples 5K in 1993) at the Great Bay 5K, they will earn an additional $1000.
The Great Bay 5K course is certified (USATF certificate NH18007BK), but the drop from start to finish of this point-to-point race is too steep for finish times to qualify for an official state record. The good news is that the net-downhill course will help runners go faster! If the winner beats the existing NH state records, they won’t establish a new official state record, but they’ll have bragging rights, and will be $1,000 richer!

MACKENZIE MILE AWARDS
A $50 bonus to the first male/female to reach the 1-mile point (assuming they maintain a similar pace for the balance of the race).
TEAM AWARDS
Team Awards: Teams with at least 5 female (or 5 male) members participating in the 5K are eligible for the Team Awards competition. Scoring is based on how each of the top 5 team members finish in their age groups. For example, a 1st place age group finisher earns 1 point; 2nd place earns 2 points and so on. The Team with the lowest total score wins a beer and pizza party for 30.
New England Oyster Cup Mixed Team Competition: The team with the fastest cumulative time for their top 3 men and top 3 women wins $250. Plus the team name is added to the coveted New England Oyster Cup trophy!
Largest Team: The largest team by numbers will also win a $250 award!
AGE-GRADED AWARDS
The awards for the top 3 male/female Age Graded Times are $100, $50, $25. Age-graded time is your finish time adjusted to that of an open division participant using a factor for age and gender. Thus, the times for women and older participants are adjusted downward, while the times for most open division participants [such as 25-year-old men] remain the same.
AGE GROUP AWARDS
Awards will be given to the top 3 male/female participants in each of the following categories: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-70, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100+.
